Task 4

Nowadays, quality in the work or school is important, so some people think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged. Others believe that children who are taught to cooperate rather than compete become more useful adults. Now I will discuss both these views and I will give my opinion.

First of all, you can compete with other people by give the winner prizes or certificates and that has advantages like the winner will feel good and that motivates them to work harder in the future. For example, in my college teachers put new ideas on the portal and that motivates students to spend more time in the library to have more knowledge about the new idea. On the other hand, the loser will feel sad, maybe because they have tried to do their best but did not win.

What is more, working in groups to do projects, report or presentations have both advantages and disadvantages. One advantage is that, you can share the work, so everyone will focus on his part and try to do his best. Another advantage is you will have more ideas and that higher the quality of the work. On the other hand, cooperation has disadvantages like one person in the group does the work and others just write their names.

To sum up, in my opinion, competition and cooperation together will help you to have more ideas and more time to focus in your part and that will improve the quality of the work.
